Comparison

Voicemail is free, and that is not the same as cheap

Voicemail costs nothing on the invoice, which is why almost everyone uses it. The cost shows up somewhere else: a caller who needed a plumber today does not leave a message, they dial the next plumber. This page is about what that trade actually looks like.

Side by side

 RingTenderVoicemail
What the caller experiencesA conversation. Their question gets answered and their appointment gets booked.A recording, then a decision about whether to bother.
Urgent callsFlagged by your own rules and texted to you immediately.Sits in the mailbox until you check it.
BookingBooks into a real open slot on the call.Requires a callback, and then a second round of phone tag.
What you getCaller details, a full transcript, and an instant text.Whatever the caller chose to say, if they said anything.
Cost$69 a month, flat.Nothing on the bill.
Full mailboxNot a concept. There is no box to fill.A full mailbox is a closed sign nobody told you about.

Most people do not leave a message

This is the whole argument. When someone calls a service business and gets a recording, the common behavior is to hang up and call the next name on the list. The call still happened. You just did not get to be part of it.

That is why the comparison is not really voicemail versus $69 a month. It is voicemail versus the jobs that came from calls you never knew about.

You can keep both

This is not all or nothing. Most businesses keep their existing number and forward it to the receptionist only when they do not pick up, so you answer the calls you can and the receptionist catches the rest. There is also a ring-first option where your own phone rings first and you press 1 to take the call yourself. If you do not, the receptionist steps in like nothing happened.

When voicemail is the better answer

We would rather you buy the right thing than buy ours.

  • A business with very few inbound calls, where the phone genuinely is not a channel.
  • A practice where every caller already knows you and will happily leave a message and wait.
  • Any situation where you would rather screen everything and call back on your own schedule.

Common questions

Can I still send some calls to voicemail?
Yes. You decide what forwards and when. Many owners forward only after hours, or only when they do not answer within a set number of rings.
Will callers know it is an AI?
It does not pretend to be a specific person, and every call opens with a recorded-and-transcribed notice. Most callers simply experience it as a receptionist who answered.
How fast can I be live?
Usually minutes. You write your notes, pick your number from the available list, and it starts answering.

Hear it before you buy it

Call the live demo line and try to stump it. That is the same receptionist we sell, answering a real business line right now.
